My pick this week is for one of my favorite local eateries. Although they have 5 locations the Los Angeles area, I go to the Venice Boulevard location.
The special of the day was Lebanon Ravioli’s. I am not really sure if this is a traditional Lebanese dish, but I can tell you it was delicious.
The pockets of dough were filled with the most aromatic and flavorful ground beef. The yogurt based sauce should be bottled and sold. It was mild and creamy with a hint of lemon.
Our waiter Chris told us this was not a regular menu item but one that is popular when they offer it as a special.
The sampler plate of appetizers was outstanding. Included on this platter were stuffed grape leaves, another one of my favorites.
The lamb kabobs were grilled to perfection, tender with bold flavor bursts with each bite.
The live authentic Mediterranean music made the dinner a dining experience not to forget.
By the end of the week my son Aaron took a group of friends there for another great meal. It seems when you find that great place you just have to share it with everyone.

I had the opportunity to go to a very special event. Sunday morning. 9 AM. It had to be good to get me out of bed. I wasn’t disappointed.
Dog Man has a free training / socialization class every Sunday. The class meets on the East side of the Coliseum next to the Sports Arena.
My friends from Angel City Pit Bull invited me. All I can say is WOW.
There were about 45 dogs there. All colors. All sizes. Their people stood in line waiting for the class to start.
It’s an agility class and all the dogs walk in a circle, jump up on cement blocks and run the course. The backdrop of the Coliseum make it truly an athletic event. It was amazing. You can bet I’ll be back.
I found this great little gem ( only about 8 tables & spotless )This authentic Oaxacan Mexican Restaurant called EK Valley. It’s located right on Washington Blvd in Culver City in the Gallery District. Yeppy and Toby (husband and wife) do it all.
Where do I start… with the chips and salsa, Salsa was very smooth and had a nice bite, I also got an order of Guacamole, some of the best I’ve had. I had 2 different kinds of pork tacos both were really good I really liked the small tidbits of pineapple on the second one. My guest had one of their specialties’ fish tacos. Broiled salmon, not battered so fresh and flavorful. We asked about the mole, Toby brought us a sample to try, another hit. I know I’ll be back here often.
